NHS 24 Centre within NHS Borders
NHS 24 is committed to working in partnership with territorial Health Boards to identify the best solutions for the provision of healthcare to the people of Scotland in the out of hours period. Now, working closely with NHS Borders we are due to open a small new local centre based within Borders General Hospital.
The opening of this local centre allows us to offer our service shaped to local needs, and aids the provision of more joined up care between NHS 24 and NHS Borders.
We are currently looking to recruit to Band 6 Nurse Practitioner roles. Part-time positions are available with a variety of rota’s and shift patterns on offer. All we ask is that you be available to work in the out of hours periods (including evenings, week-ends, public holidays) and be available to work a minimum of 24 hours each month.
We recognise that those wishing to work very part-time hours with us, may have difficulty in committing to the time and length of our current induction training programme, and so we are currently looking at tailoring this to differing needs.
If you want to find out more about working with NHS 24, visit the other pages on our website where you can find details of our CPD and training opportunities, policies, information on our other locations, or hear from some of our existing staff on their experiences of working for NHS 24. You will also find an application form, which you can down load and complete. Alternatively, for an informal discussion about the role and the new centre you can call John Woodley, Clinical Services Manager on 07795052403.
